The Moonee Ponds Activity Centre is subject to a special rate and charge by Moonee Valley City Council. The purpose of the special rate and charge is to promote and support businesses and patronage within the Moonee Ponds Activity Centre.
The purpose of the Moonee Ponds Activity Centre Business Plan is to direct expenditure of the special rate proceeds over the five-year period.

To ensure our precinct remains vibrant and inclusive, the Moonee Ponds Traders Association has adopted an equitable membership and promotional policy that recognises all businesses operating within our activity centre. We believe that whether you own your property, hold a traditional commercial lease, or operate within a co-working or serviced office environment, your business is a vital contributor to our local economy. If your business operates within the activity centre and contributes—directly or indirectly—to the rates levy, you are entitled to the full suite of Association benefits. This includes inclusion in our official business directory, access to our social media promotional channels, and opportunities to participate in all precinct-wide marketing initiatives and events. We are committed to ensuring that every business, regardless of scale, has the opportunity to thrive and benefit from the collective success of our local business community.
