I’m in business because I love my customers, everyone is my family, and I love cooking for them in my home.

I opened my business in June 1989, taking over from a small sandwich bar in Shuter St, Moonee Ponds. I used to own an Italian Restaurant on Toorak Road South Yarra, but after several years, I wanted to run a small business closer to home.

When I took over the business, I installed an oven so we could cook homemade pasta. We still prepare many of the same dishes we did when we started the business, including; traditional meats, fish, chicken, focaccias, and sandwiches.

I love to cook for my customers, and I never get bored of it, that is why I still make all pasta, tomato sauce, and many other dishes from scratch every day. We always use fresh produce and never cut corners.  I want my customers to leave the restaurant feeling like they have just eaten a home-cooked meal, just like in Italy.

We love Moonee Ponds and the people who come to our restaurant. So much has changed in the Moonee Ponds over the years, but we haven’t, and that’s why our customers keep coming back.  We have served families, their children, and their children’s children. It puts a smile on my face, and this is why I keep coming back every day. I would also like to thank God for helping us in our journey.

I love what I do, and while I still enjoy it, I will keep going for as long as I can.
